So, with that in mind, we are ALWAYS in need of socks! Help us better serve our community by helping build up our sock supply! We are looking for NEW (unused) socks in sizes M/L/XL/XXL. Most of these socks will be placed over the top of wound care materials, so larger sizes are much better for our clients' needs. What a gorgeous morning to be out in our community! This morning, several students, staff, faculty, physicians, & community members alike joined together for Loyola’s Health Science Campus Day of Service! One opportunity on this great day involved working with Loyola Street Medicine to assemble hygiene kits for dispersal at the CTA Blue Line outreach site & prepare dinner for those spending the evening at Housing Forward’s Emergency Shelter. Altogether, today was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our local Maywood community & the several different programs to get involved in within it. Thank you to all the eager & excited volunteers for spending the morning with LSM.
